A man reached out to me asking about objects that were being physically moved in his home. Doors would randomly open and close, as would drawers and items shifting unaccountably. His wife assured him that she was not responsible for any of the goings on. He wanted to know who was there and why.
There was a specific message from his long-departed grandfather pertaining to this man’s furnace and a possible carbon monoxide leak. The message was direct, have the furnace, which had been cleaned 6 months earlier, rechecked and make sure all carbon monoxide detectors in the home were fully functional. To emphasize his point and confirm his identity, the grandfather specifically mentioned his antique accordion, which his grandson had lovingly stored on the shelving by the furnace. The subsequent inspection revealed a small leak, which could have easily manifested into a major one, which was immediately repaired.
Similarly, I had a recently departed husband reach out to his wife about papers in his desk with a fast-approaching expiration date that she needed to address asap. In her grief and dealing with other matters around his passing, she hadn’t gone through his desk yet, and was totally unaware of the pending deadline. She got the message loud and clear in our session and promptly took care of the matter prior to the deadline.
These are examples of our departed loved ones watching over us from ‘that third floor balcony’ I mentioned in a previous blog. They stand with us passively until we need them, then they energetically lend a helping hand in whatever way and means they can.
